What artists use old materials to create 3D models and sculptures?

There was a book at school with lots of this artists work in, he used old materials - cupboards, tables, chairs, plates, cups generally anything and arranged them together. The book front cover has a viking helmet with a bear on the front, dull brown cover. Any ideas, or any artists like this.
