What are your thoughts on the name Phillip/Philip?

I personally would never name my child Phillip/Philip i think the name is a bit old fashion for my liking. But i will say my dad's name is Philip so i guess its alright

Its too common and i couldn't see a baby with the name Phillip.

I can't say I like it too much. I would go with Phillipe (pronounced: phil-eep) not phil-ee-pay.
I also love the name Phillipa for a girl

I love strong, classic, masculine names like Philip, George, Charles, etc. And at least you can say nobody would ever think the kid or his parents were chavs.

In the UK Pip is the traditional nickname for little boys named Philip - just like in Great Expectations
