What are your thoughts on Loop quantum Cosmology?

So far it's no more than a theory based strictly on computer simulations which I always mistrust a little bit. In this case, those simulations are based on quantum mechanics, and it's well known that our understanding of that field is incomplete to say the least. If there were at least a tiny shred of hard, verifiable observation to back up LQC I'd feel better about it.
