What are your opinions in general about Betelgeuse?

Is a rather ugly star and uneventful. Overrated. Sirius and Eta Carinae are much cooler

Betelgeuse the star is a prime candidate for going supernova at just about any time. A 'supernova' is the name given to a star that literally explodes. When Betelgeuse does explode, the light from that explosion will light up our night sky as much as the full moon does. Some astronomers think that because of the supernova we could actually see blue sky at midnight.
