WWI was fought over the death of one man. Millions died to solve nothing and did not change any borders. It caused a hatred by the Germans over they way they felt they were treated after WWI. This caused WWII.
WWII was fought because one insane man thought he could conquer the world. And create a new master race. Again millions died because of one man.
Now Vietnam. This war was fought due to being allies with South Vietnam. When their president was assassinated U.S. President Kennedy felt obligated to get involved. Again the death of one man caused thousands to die and for what? The problem with the Vietnam war was that there was to much politics involved. They would not let the generals fight the war like it needed to be fought. This is what caused most of the casualties there.
Wars are never good but always inevitable. The outcomes are always horrendous. But some need to be fought, not all but most. WWII needed to be fought. The needs of the many out weighs the needs of the few.
