The marching band season is finally starting up again! I just finished my first week of band camp. We practice from 8am to 12pm, then we have an hour lunch break, then we practice again from 1pm-4pm, then we have a 2 hour dinner break, thennnn we practice from 6pm-9pm! 13 hour band camp days are so tiring! My feet and legs were so sore after practices from running so many laps and hills and doing so many push ups, not to mention marching for long periods of time. I don't care what anyone else says. Marching band is vigorous hard work! Not everyone can do it. Even so, I absolutely LOVE band and I always will! It's really fun and all the hard work is worth it in the end. I especially like the funny things that happen during practices. Do you guys have any funny/interesting marching band stories??? And what is the most painful thing for you about marching band? For me it's my neckstrap! lol Everyone might think that a neckstrap makes marching with a saxophone easier but that thing really makes your back hurt! It causes serious pain. Trust me...and section leaders out there: any good/bad things about your section? Frustrations? Acheivements? I know I have plenty of great things and frustrating things to say about my section :^P For me, all I want is for my section to do their best and be the best marchers they can be!
Anyways, just wanna see what other band peoples think!
I play alto sax & flute
