What are your experiences with a Motorola Xoom on an airplane?

I just got a Motorola Xoom and would like to use it on a trip to Europe in the coming months. I want to use it for the following:

- Internet
- Writing
- Music
- Possibly video

Can anyone let me know how these aspects of it worked out for them on an airplane? I got the Xoom for free, so I am contemplating buying an iPad2, but I would have to pay for that. If the Xoom is just as good for those things, I don't want to have to go out and buy the iPad2.

I am flying on Delta that offers WiFi via a low price.
