Just for an essay that I'm writing.
Based off both books:
-Speak--Laurie Halse Anderson
-The Crucible--Arthur Miller
Well I guess I should also add that I think that if the secret could end up hurting others, that it's bad keeping it a secret.
For example:
Speak--Melanie keeps a secret that someone raped her, and everything thinks she called the cops on a summer party cuz she was bored. So everyone hates her. And that guy could be raping others.
The Crucible--The teen girls lying, saying others have things to do with witchcraft. Ending up having people get killed.
