What are those tall old stereos called that have a turntable & 8track player

wit speakers underneath? My parents had one, the radio & 8 track player were up above the turntable, which sat on top of the speakers. The speakers also had lights in it lmao
Did that type of setup have a name?

Maybe you are thinking of a rack. A lot of times people would build individual stereos by buying each piece of equipment separately.
