What are the warm up exercises one should do before starting sprinting

exercises (running very fast for a? short distance ).I am 27 year old and up to now I have mostly exercised by jogging at slightly faster pace and taking a brisk walk,I want to start sprinting and leave those exercises.

but in past I have tried sprinting but I have woken up with lot of pain in my legs and especially thighs why does that happen and are there any special exercises to prevent it.

please explain in detail not all but few exercise,I know few stretching exercise like bending down and touching my toes with my fingers or sitting stretching my legs and touching the tip of my toes with my fingers,are these exercises enough before a sprint run?
