What are the subtopics that I can use for my debate?

I have to argue for a school debate that Family Life has improved over the last 70 years (1939 -now). What are some subtopics I could use to research for the debate, or even some examples would help
 
Poverty has dropped over time.
More money circulation now [well not at this exact moment, as were going into a depression]
More knowledge in the world.
Better education.
Technology is making everything easier and better.
Quality of food, water, shelter... ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING YOU CAN THINK OF...
and theres a lot more... keep thinking!
