what are the steps i neeed to complete and do to get a job at mcdonalds or

another fast food place. ? i know its a dumb question but im applying for my first job and its kinda confusing for me
im also only 15 1/2 and i am not living with my parents soo ya help on how to get a job and what jobs
 
I started my1 st job at 17. I wou7ld go to this place all the time and when I was about 15 and half or 16 I started asking about an job. They told me when I turn 17 come in and fill out an appl.. As soon as I turn 17 I filled out an application and after an few days they hire me :)

Hi, I don't think its a dumb question. It can be confusing when applying for your first job (it was for me).
First you will have to fill out a job application. You will probably be asked to include a few personal references (sometimes non relatives), so bring their contact info (address and phone number) with you when you go to fill out the application. You may also be asked for your ID and social security card, so have that, too.

After you submit the application, hopefully you will be called for an interview, or called to let you know you have been hired. The last time I applied for a job at a fast food place, I didn't have to go through the interview. I was called by the manager to let me know when they wanted me to start.

[edit] I just read that you are 15 1/2. Be sure to check to see if you need to secure a work permit first. I did at your age.
 
Why in the hell apply for a job where it's always hot and annoying when you have Best Buy,Target,Kmart,Walgreens,Circuit City,etc.
