Use:
Both the Parthenon and the Pantheon were used for worship. However, the Pantheon was used for worship of all the principle Roman gods, while the Parthenon was used for the worship of the Greek goddess Athena only.
Construction Engineering:
The Parthenon is constrcted in the Classical Doric style, and made entirely from Marble, with a Limestone base. It was built under the general supervision of the sculptor Phidias, who also had charge of the sculptural decoration. The architects were Iktinos and Kallikrates. Construction took about 16 years, with the project beginning in 447 BC, and being finished in about 431 BC.
The Pantheon was originally constructed by the Roman Consul, Marcus Agrippa in 27 BC, but was destroyed by a fire in 80 AD. The present building dates from 125 AD during the Emperor Hadrian's reign. It is made out of several materials: Marble, Granite, Concrete, and Brick. It is built in the circular with a portico of granite Corinthian columns under a pediment opening into the rotunda.
