There are sensors next to map lights on mostly all luxury sedans. On my BMW 530i there are at least four. They are next to the rear dome light and in the front they are on the left and right of the SOS button and the sun roof. I've had many cars and most of them have very similar sensors. I believe they might be sensors but I would like to know whats their function.
