I am the maid of honour at a friends wedding next year, and we are starting to design her invitations. She and her fiancee met when they both were attending the local 2-year college. We were thinking it would be neat to make the invites look like novelty diplomas, and were thinking we could have gold foil stickers made, embossed with their names and wedding date around the circumference of the sticker, and the school logo in the center. Not sure if this is legal, as it uses the school's logo, even though it is nowhere close to their official seal. Would this make anyone suspicious? If we are going to have to explain ourselves in some sort of investigation then we won't bother, not worth the trouble. We just thought they would be cool invitations.
What are the rules governing use of College Logos?
