Here's the scoop. I just got a 2004 Mazda RX 8 and I have no clue about this rotary engine. It's in great condition so there's no trouble as of yet BUT I have been hearing about certain "special things" you should do to keep it running good. For example, letting the engine rev to about 3000 rpms and then pushing the peddle hard as you switch it off, supposedly turning the gas off at the same time. Something like this. Not redlining it but just hitting the gas and cutting the ignition together. That's what I hear. So, if anyone out there knows of any little tips or hints as to how to keep this thing running great for as long as possible, any info will be of great importance. Thanks to all! Peace
