I had my taxes prepared the other day and my accountant told me that the law changes this year in regards to what your employer has to pay in for social security and medicare tax. Last year both the employer and employee paid around 7%, this year the employer only has to pay around 4%. This was something the Obama administration proposed last year for the year ending 2010. I understand how this will help businesses operate I just wonder if this is the place to be cutting taxes.
