I'm planning to build my own bike because i usually don't get what i want when you buy a bike.

I'm buying the parts piece by piece so i can choose the finest parts i want for my bike.

but i don't know exactly what are the other things needed to assemble the bike.
all i know are;
tires
rims
spokes
wheel hubs
gears,
chain
disk brake set
the body itself
the handle(steering wheel)
the seat(lol)
the chain
the gears for the pedal,
pedal itself
and some i dont remember unless i see them..

please help me make a checklist in assembling a bike good for speeds on a city terrain.
thanks!

If you are building a bike on your own, be prepared to shell out at least $1K (US) for the parts, then whatever amount for the frame, then the wheels. I've provided a link for a site that sells a custom build kit, either a road bike or mountain bike.
