what are the modification required for importing a standard harley davidson bike...

Make sure the speedo reads in km/h, and the headlight beam deflects to the left (instead of the right). I'm not sure what you roads are like but if it comes with American Dunlop tires, get rid of them as a matter of urgency.
 
...in to Japan from the U.S.? Hello, I heared the some noise reduction and emmision modification are required, but what else? Japan uses regular gas, is that okay for harley bike?
