What can I do about someone at the bank opening an account without my permission?
My bank opened up a new account under my name (when I already have an account with this bank) when I did not give permission, a signature, ANYTHING to the branch that opened it to approve of a new account.

The lady just took it upon herself to open up the account, because I showed SOME interest while in the bank when making a deposit, but told her I was in a hurry and would call later and ask about it if I was interested.

Left the bank after giving her a cash deposit, and then four days later, a new pin number and a new card show up in my name.
Anyone know of any laws against this?

By the way, she simply opened the account without my signature (which the bank already told me that a signature was required to open an account)

It is not just a "misunderstanding" when I told her I would come back IF I was interested.
Sounds like she got incentives for opening up accounts, but I did not approve of this.
I did not sign a thing. I didn't even bring my purse in, just my keys, deposit slip, and my cash and checks from work.

The branch manager was the one who signed me up.

I just want to know if this is considered fraud, seeing as I have already been told that a signature is required, and the account a few hours after I left the bank.
