What are the laws about people riding in the bed of pickup trucks?

I'm going on a roadtrip this summer and a bunch of people are going with me. I know that in Idaho it is legal for people to ride in the bed of my truck, but what about Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Montana??
I need to know for each of those states. Thanks!
