What are the Jewish's views on pre-marital sex?

Many of my jewish friends are not at all religious, and have all lost their virginity (or plan on doing so before they are married). What are the Torah's views on this? Are there any set rules/guidelines?

Orthodox are horrified by it. Reform are more realistic.
