I was under the assumption that medium/large breed puppies devoured their food. My puppy (English Bull Terrier) gets excited when he sees me with the food bowl, but after I put it down he'll take a couple of bites and lose interest. He's been doing this since I first got her at 8 weeks. Its the same kibble (puppy chow) that she was first started on. I've since bought a better kibble, but she does the same thing; a couple of bites and starts playing around. Also, I took her to the vet twice and he says she's not thin or unhealthy looking, but he gave her a vitamin shot anyone just to ease my worries. Is this normal?
Plus her bowl is semi-empty occasionally in the mornings which makes me suspect either she's a night grazer or the alley cats down the street are getting her grub? Any ideas?
