What are the diffrent areas of art, design, fashion, interior and photography?

i would like a career in one of these areas but i dont know enough about it, can anyone tell me more infortamtion on it or where to get more information?
also is it true there are too many interior deginers? (making it harder to be one)
are there courses on being a photographers assistant?
