Ok so I'm currently pregnant with my first child and I want to go back to school, specifically cosmetology school at a community college. I'm married and 22. I guess the problem I've had so far is that I work crazy hours at a hospital pharmacy, I do make quite a bit of money for not having a degree (19.50 an hour), BUT for the most part my work status has always been per diem, which basically translates to per day, like my work doesn't demand a certain amount of hours from me, but that also means I'm not promised anything. No benefits, no paid time off, no sick leave. However I've basically been full time hours since I was 18. So trust me I've had quite a bit taken away in taxes every paycheck so I don't want to hear anything about being a freeloader. So since cosmetology school is full time Monday through Friday, I'm not really going to have time to work, nor would I want to be away from my baby any more than that. My friend's have a variety of answers on it, but none are too consistent. One of my friends gets 4,000 every semester is that right? But I don't know if I'd qualify considering my taxes are going to indicate I make more than the average young mother applying for financial aid. Also I live in California and if there are any other opportunities I might be missing please let me know.
