I just got back from talking with a recruiter, he told me that if I enlist now, I can go to basic in september. If I enlist in Aug., I will go to basic in Febuary. I was just wondering if this was true becasue when I talked to another recruiter, I was told that some people get sent to basic within a week of signing their contract. I wish to pursue 11B, and then hopefully go Rangers. However, I will enlist in 11B and then ask for Airborne. (if anything I said is wrong please help/correct me =) ). Umm, I will not sign anything before August personally. So I was wondering with an 11B contract and going to basic, if I sign in August do I truly wait till Febuary for Basic? If this is the case it is no problem I will return to school for a semster. I am a freshman currently at UMD, CP.
