...waiting for permission from Judge? Almost 5 months ago (in the middle of my divorce proceedings), I filed a 90 days intent to move with the courts, to move with my girlfriend in Ohio. We had thought about the decision, asked attorneys (multiple), spoke to the absent mother, who is now seeing them every other weekend, after being absent for almost a year, and started looking for a bigger place that would hold not only her two children, but mine as well. We have since secured the new place, and she has already moved, but we are still waiting on permission.
I believe if we actually got in for our trial hearing, that the move would be approved, as the mother did not file any objection paperwork against the move, she has not tried to get them any other time than her court appointed every other weekend, and she works second shift. The kids are excited, and want to move.
The problem is, her attorney is playing games, and intentionally delaying court dates, so that school will start...therefore providing her with the only chance she has of denying the move.
Note: it is less than 3 hours away, a trip I have already made every single weekend for about a year now, so she will not lose any time.
What would happen if I moved so that the kids could start school in the new jurisdiction, rather than starting a school temporarily, and then having to switch again (if they even would let us move after they start school at old jurisdiction).
