I'd like serious answers please. So far, all I'm able to find is that this program is somehow socialist and will lead to the collapse of the health insurance industry and both of these responses are utterly ludicrous.
In reality, this program bill will cover our nation's uninsured, potentially drive down health care costs for those of us that ARE insured and will not add to the deficit. Where's the beef?
I'm in school for my MS in Health Management, work for a research department in what U.S News and Report has called "The #1 Health Plan in America" and have been following this debate closely. So, it's not that I am misinformed or just haven't been paying attention. But i literally can't wrap my head around what so many people oppose about a public option for those who choose; day after day I end up wondering why this issue is even being debated?
