Today I received a call from the National Guard recruiter, saying if I'd join the NG I'd received full tuition payment and $350 a week free money because of my ASVAB score (which was a 59.)
I REALLY, and I don't think I can emphasize that enough....I REALLLLLLLLY, DO NOT want to join the National Guard. I do however want to join the U.S. Marine Corps, which I plan on making a career out of. But I'm just wondering what are some college benefits that come with joining the USMC with my ASVAB score. My parents are on my case about joining the National Guard, but I'm trying to insist I join the Marine Corps.
Should I talk to my recruiter about it? Because I heard they'll tell you that you can fly to the moon on a piece of cardboard just to get you to sign your signature.
And just another little question: Should my local Marine recruiting office offer weekly workouts? Because I know the Army office does. I'm going to ask the Marine recruiter regardless, I just want to know if they generally do.
Thanks.
