I have a 96 Honda Accord that im pretty sure i need to replace the head gasket on, Ive done all the test so i know theres a leak im just worried when i pull the head and replace it there could be more then just a leaking head gasket. if its a leaking head im not to worried about it because i can replace that at a minimal cost but i know if theres something wrong with the block im screwd so what are the chances of this happening? Im also curious as to what else could i possibly run into? i would really like to just get it done at once.

just to make sure there isnt anything wrong with the block is there any type of test i can do with the head off to make sure im not wasting all my time and money replacing the gaskets and all that?

any answers are much appprieciated.

Thanks
Im basicly only curious to if theres chance of a cracked block this year make and model car. im not worried about the actual replaceing of the head gasket i have enough experience and knowledge to be sure i can do it. im just worried about my block because as all car enthusiest know the block is the heart of the beast and anythings wrong with the heart your spending a lot of money replacing it.

and when i said im not worried about a leaking head i mean the actual cylinder head being cracked. i can just replace that.
