What are the best poses for a guy in a photo?

I've worked with females over and over, and I need some practice with a guy's face. They will be taken with a manual Pentax, all in black and white. I've done one photo shoot with a guy, and it didn't go so well, seeing as I don't really know how to best take a photo of a guy due to inexperience.

So, does anyone know any generally good, flattering poses for a guy?
Also what's the best lighting for a guy?
