When i was trick or treating age (approximately 25 years ago) it was not uncommon to see hundreds of kids trick-or-treating. Now as an adult i've tried to give a lot of candy, but get maybe a few dozen spread out. Now that i have my own kid i want to take him somewhere that the residents love to see kids in costume. Other children walk by and say "cool costume". Its not about getting the most candy, but instead the cool experience.
I understand people prefer that only local residents come get candy, but since i only know a few of my neighbors, i figure whats the big deal.
Any help would be cool. I'm trying to avoid church festivals and malls.
I also wanna stay south of the 52 freeway.
I'm trying to go old school.
Thanks.
P.S. I heard that Parts of eastlake are like ghost towns. I also heard that Kennsington is a good choice, but they did not specify if there were a lot of trick-or-treaters.
