what are the best disc brake pads for a jump bike?

i bought a new mongoose fireball 2009 jump bike and the brakes arn't as good as i thought they should be.

I have never had disc brakes on one of my bikes before and am abit new to them so i'm just wondering if there are ways to make them better.

so if anyone knows the best pads and discs for a disc brake please share your knowlage with me and if there is anything else you can tell me about disc brakes please say.
