My 99 Ford Ranger makes a loud "KNOCK" noise or thud whenever I hit a bump. It seems to do it on the way back up rather than when hitting down. Could these be bad coil springs? I have replaced inner and outter tie rod ends, upper control arms, ball joints, sway bar links. What else could make a noise like this. Also, After changing all those things, I got new tires and had a wheel alignment done. There was tons of noise coming from the bad ball joints, now there is a small squeak when the truck jumps up and down a bit on hitting small bumps. Anything bigger than those small jumps and I'll here the knock sound. Currently using some cheap $21 each shocks by Monroe. Should I upgrade or change my coil springs?
