What are Stingrays: fish or what?

I read an article that refered to a stingray as a type of fish. I didn't think the were a type of fish. I always though that they belonged to some other family, but was never sure which. Does anyone have a link to a scientifically respectable site I can visit to find out. I don't have time to check on it myself and when I do it tends to have fallen into the back of my mind. HELP?!?!?!
 
id go to google.com and look up are stingrays fish or what.
but i say that stingrays are most likely fish if they are not then what are they mammals i don't think so. so i say stingrays are fish.
