what are some ways to help fuel mileage on a chevy 350 small block?

i have a k 2500 1995 3 in lift with 35 in tires i do not understand y a guy with a 6 in lift is gettin better mileage any suggestions excluding a bed cover a tbi spacer cuz i already have them
