What are some ways to boost internet connection strength?

My computer is in the basement in my room and our router is upstairs. So at best i'll get 2 bars. I can't run an ethernet cable down to my room so thats not an option and i'm using the computer's built in wifi thing.

So what are some ideas to boost it without getting a ethernet cable or moving my compter closer?
