What are some ways that i can help animals and wildlife?

I'm 16 years old and i've wanted to be a vet since i was like five years old. Animals have always been in my heart and it aches every time i see or hear about an animal being abused. I want to help all the puppies and kittens that people drop off on the side of the road. The thing is my parents won't let me pick them up because we already have so many animals. I just can't help it. Everytime i see one who looks hurt i just want to cry. Same thing goes for animals like birds, raccoons, squirrels, possums, and even skunks. My parents donate 200 dollars every year to this wildlife place near where i live. Were all big animals lovers and never do anything to harm them. I just wish there was some way i could take all the pain away from them. Their so helpless and people are so selfish. </3
