You could start by asking him what he did over the weekend or last night, and if you have any input on anything he did you can continue. Here's a hint for you, try imagining he's just a really good friend, it might help you feel a little more comfortable when talking to him. Good Luck.
 
i like this guy, and he likes me too. he got his phone taken away for 2 weeks so we cant text. we have two classes together. we have small talk, like if we need help on the assignments, but i wanna talk to him, like an actual conversation. im not the boldest person in the whole world, im kinda shy. so please give me ideas of things that we could talk about. thanks!
