What are some standards and common stereotypes of the greek american lifestyle?

I am planning on writing a story where the main character has second to third generation greek parents, and being caucasion, I don't know much about greek culture. All I can find is information about greek gods and ancient greece, not about greek american culture. I need to know maybe some common stereotypes (ones that he will struggle with, no doubt) and some standards that are common in a greek family, like strictness and expectations of parents, traditions, other things that carry over from having greek roots.

More info about my character: he is sixteen, very americanized, and has second to third generation greek parents.

I want to give an accurate portrayal of what it is like to be a greek-american teenager, and not be too cheesy or stereotypical. Any info you can give me is great, *especially* if you can give me a firsthand account of what it is like to grow up in a greek household. Thanks~!!

They are often loud and tend to circulate around only other Greeks. They typically have dark curly hair, curved noses, and care alot about their appearance but don't coincide with American beauty standards (i.e. weird makeup, over teased hair, etc.) They value family highly.

Not that many stereotypes. Greek pass under whites, so then whatever stereotypes go with whites, would go with the greek culture as well.

The only stereotypes I can think of are a strong pressure to do well academically in school and to marry Greek. Those stereotypes were true for the Greek families I knew growing up.
