What are some simple pics for a begginer to paint?

I was very curious to know what it is like to paint, like with real, good, paint, and so i got some supplies for xmas. But now i am trying to find things to paint. I have the canvas paper, the sketch paper, palette paper, almost every type and size of brush, an easel, acrylic, water, and oil paints, and oil pastells. I have never done anything before with paint, all i've done is draw and sketch with colored pencils. What is the best picture to start out with and do u have any tips or tricks for starting me out?

BTW, i did the practice pic in the booklet of the acrylic paint, and it came out so good, the bleanding and small details were off, but it looked really good for a first timer. (thought i might share my happiness about that!)
 
Well seeing how its kinda christmas try your tree. You got something to look at instead of trying to think of it. And lots of pretty colors. good luck, painting is so fun.
