What are some reasons a guy wouldn't have sex with a girl?

We dated (although not very serious, it was more than casual) for just around a year. One night we rented a hotel room (his idea) and he made out with me all night, turned me on, fondled with me through my clothes, but every time I tried to take it to the final step he would smile and push my hand away from his lower half.

He was definitely not a virgin.
He wasn't religious.
I know he liked me because we continued to date and it was HIS idea to get a hotel room and turn me on.
It didn't stink or anything and anyway, he didn't get a chance to even smell it.

WHY WHY WHY would he not have sex with me? I never had the nerve to ask and now 5 years later it's driving me crazy.

What are some reason a guy would do this and not have sex with a girl.
 
hes probibly gay or maybe he was embarased about something maybe he had a really embarasing rash or herpes girl face it you are probibly lucky he didn't sleep with you he may have killed you with some infectuous disease. Maybe he was gassy.... that'll do it. couldn't get it up I hear that can be a problemo! Maybe he was just trying to be polite there are many reasons why guys wont bang chicks they aren't all completely horny bastards you know.
