I'm in the D.E.P. (delayed entry program) for the airforce and am madly in love with my boyfriend, He's already said that if when I get to my duty station and it's in america he has no problem moving there but, I know that the concessions made to married couples are MUUUCH BETTER.
I have a friend who married her boyfriend, because he was in the navy and she tells me that she doesnt see a difference in thier relationship except that they never have money woes.
I would marry him for the benefits for the time being, but I wont feel married until I actually have a wedding, so it would kinda just be so we could live together (we've lived together for 2 years already). Do you think thats a mistake? (aside from romance issues)
and also he wont have trouble finding work because he's a certified welder and a technician on a very exclusive machine used in sheet metal fabrication....
and if when I get to my duty station Im not an e-4 and its a big base, I dont get to live with him at all. Only in the same city, and he will have to pay rent on his own.
