what are some of the more advanced tools that a home mechanic should have?

i have a pretty large collection of wrenches, screwdrivers, etc., but i just bought my first car and i have a good time working on it and prefer doing the work myself over paying someone else. this way i get knowledge and experience.

anyway, aside from the everyday tools, what are some of the auto specific tools that i should have? i already plan on buying some stands and a new jack, but what else should i get?
