What are some of the consequences of No Proof of financial responsibility and...

...no license citation in Texas? On February, I received a citation for not turning my lights on for about five seconds after I pulled onto a the street. I was driving home and was only about a 1/4 of a mile from my apartment. Anyway, the cop pulled me over and gave a citation for not turning my lights on at night, not having a license and another one for being unable to provide financial responsibility.

I had to go to court about a month later. I got my license about two weeks after the citation but could not get my name on my parents' insurance after my court date (Of course, I did not tell them I had gotten a citation even though I am 18 LOL). I got rid of the lights ticket by going to traffic school. However, I plead not guilty to the other two even though I had gotten my license by then.

Then, I was going to have another court date on April, and I had my name on the insurance and a valid license. I decided to hire an attorney to go to this one. I checked online to see what had happened and it said that there was no date for a new court date since the April date had been canceled. A couple of weeks ago, I called my lawyer and he said that I had a pre-trial date on July 10. I checked online again after the 10 and it only says "notify of court date on July 10"

That is my story, now I do not know what to do. Should I just pay for the citation and get it over with? What is going to happen to my driving record if I give up? Or should I let my lawyer handle it? What can he do to get rid of it or can he at least lower since it is like $400? Do you think I can get rid of it after all this time?
