beginning art students, and why? I read (on Cooper Union's web page) that pencil and pen were both less than ideal media for displaying 3-D forms, and that they were better for lines. What would be a better medium for form? Charcoal? I hate working with charcoal--too messy for in my house. :/ Painter 10? lol.
