what are some laws that help protect people? but at the same time are hard to obey?

can anyone list some laws that is meant to protect people, but it is hard to actually obey because it makes someones life harder.

right now i came up with speed limits. they are made to provide a safe speed while driving, but can be disobeyed because someone is late to work.

anyone have any ideas?
