Wow, we have a lot here.

Airplane- more expedient travel

Cell phone- you can always have a form of communication with you now.

Walkman/mp3 player/iPod - we can carry our music around with us now

Internet- communication is easier than ever
 
Well, I think computers & cell phones have definitely defined the 20th & 21st Centuries. It's amazing how we lived without them & now I can't imagine not having them!
 
the artificial heart in 2001, Ipod in 2001, the escalator in 1900, the radio and the vacuum in 1901, the tractor in 1904, 1910 motion pictures, 1913 the bra, 1920 the tommy gun, 1921 the first robot, 1923 traffic signals, 1935 canned beer, 1941 aerosol spray cans, 1942 the first digital computer, 1945 the atomic bomb, 1949 pre-mixed cake mix, 1950 the credit card, 1951 super glue.
