Connecticut is great because there are a lot of lakes. You mostly catch pearch, large mouth, and small mouth bass with the occasional landlocked salmon mixed in. You can also go saltwater fishing in Long Island Sound where you can catch striped bass, bluefish, scup (porgy), black-fish,false albicore, and the stray tuna off the coast. Vermont and New Hampshire are good for trout, bass, and sunnys. Montana has incredible trout and salmon fishing along with Alaska too!
Hope that helped!
If you are going fishing, good luck!
