I want to be able to to surf on a competitive level, but there are some factors. I am thirteen and I have Osgood Schlatter's Disease in both knees, and this limits me to only certain things. I am very passionate about surfing and I am a great swimmer. I was on a swim team at one point. I haven't done any sports since then, which puts me at being very out of shape, and I am not allowed to run much because of my knees. I love running and I was on the cross country team, but my knees would swell up so bad I couldn't walk. I would love to hear from anyone who has encountered any of these problems, and I am open to any suggestions. I have everything for icing my knees, to braces, to knee straps. Nothing is working and I really want to start surfing. I talked to my doctor and he said the best thing would be to get a paddle board, but I want to actually surf. I am looking forward to whatever grueling routine you can challenge me to
